At Earthashastra, we work with one of nature’s most overlooked materials—Cow Dung.

Used for centuries across Indian homes for purification, warmth, and everyday rituals, it never needed reinvention—only reintroduction.

Our dhoop and artefacts are made to bring that same quiet function back into modern spaces—naturally cleansing the air, grounding the atmosphere, and reconnecting homes to a slower, more intentional way of living.

No complexity. No excess.
Just what has always worked.

The Beginning

Our founder, Vandana Parikh, spent most of her life outside India. Studying science. Observing cultures. Questioning systems.

Coming back home, she didn’t see backward traditions.
She saw overlooked design.

Cow dung wasn’t waste.

It was insulation.
It was antimicrobial.
It was fuel.

It was regenerative economy in its purest form.

The problem wasn’t the material.
The problem was our perception.

So we built around the material — not around trends.

Today, Earthashastra creates dhoop, havan discs, sambrani cups, diyas, and artefacts

Using cow dung, cow ghee, and sacred herbs. Beyond incense, our cow-based articles are shaped for everyday use — refined, hygienic, and meant to return safely to the earth.

And every piece is handcrafted by rural women — turning by-products into livelihoods with dignity.

But Earthashastra isn’t one person’s conviction.

Meet the team.

Operations Mastermind

The calm backbone. The one who keeps operations smooth while the rest of us build.

Different Strengths. Same Spine.

We are not here to “bring back the old days.”

We are here to ask better questions.

Why should a ritual create pollution?

Why should sacred smoke contain toxins?

Why should sustainability feel complicated?

Our Mission

Earthashastra is simple.

What comes from the earth should return to it.

What enters your home should not harm the world outside it.

progress should include nature — not outpace it.

That’s it.

No Nostalgia.

No Noise.

Just intelligence — remembered.

Our work rests on Four Interconnected Pillars:

Non-milking Desi Cows

Agricultural Soil Regeneration

Holistic Human Wellness

Accessible Ritual Culture

Vedic. Vibrant. Vital.
